I want to take a moment to spotlight the incredible artist who has played a pivotal role in defining our visual aesthetic: Lilia Quinaud. In the early stages of my search for an artist I came across Lilia’s work, and I was immediately a fan.
I was struck by her vibrant use of color and her remarkable ability to blend simplicity with refinement, creating visuals that are both striking and sophisticated, radiating energy and emotion.
During our meetings Lilia brought compilations of 20th century cuban art and advertisment. The art she created for CASP is directly inspired by the visual art of Cuba in the early to mid 20th century. Each piece is imbued with a sense of cultural narrative, reflecting the spirit of Cuban culture and enhances the music we are dedicated to preserving and promoting.
I am truly thrilled with how Lilia has supported our mission through her artistry and I am honored to have her as a team member. All the illustrations you see on this website are by her, as is the typeface on our main website. Below are a selection of illustrations that I especially love. You can find more of her artwork on instagram: @quinaud
